Prey - Bridge

This post is part of our series of tips for Prey by Arkane Studios. It's not meant to be a comprehensive walkthrough filled with boring common-sense or easily-discovered points of interest, but things that might be tricky or that are easily overlooked.

Bridge Safe

  • The code is on a note in the Captain's Loft (slide 1) although you really shouldn't have any idea which keypad the note refers to.

Escape Pods
  • Depending on how you handled the Chef in Crew Quarters, you can eventually find him here (slide 2).
    • You can rush in and thwart his plan with the Repair skill but he has no contextual dialog to reflect this.
    • He stays Unconscious only if you knock him out with the Disruptor Stun Gun before he starts his last dialog line.
      • Danielle Sho's quest, "Danielle Sho", will not update in this case.
      • If you then go to Deep Storage for the first time, you will get a live call from him.
    • If it plays out the way he hopes, you will lose the loot in the pod.
    • You are probably expected to go to Deep Storage first even though the Bridge is accessible early.
      • Danielle Sho has additional related dialog that is omitted and there is no replacement if he's dead by the time you get to Deep Storage.
      • On entering Deep Storage and advancing through areas for quest progress, he makes curious calls to you, pretty much each time you advance to a new location.

Shuttle "Advent"

  • There's a countdown near the corpse of Captain Jada Marks and her Transcribe starts the quest, "Shuttle 'Advent'".
  • An interesting discussion related to the decision required in this quest is on the Prey Fandom site.
  • Since a Mimic was featured during the Tutorial, we basically have confirmation that the Typhon were really not secure on the Talos I well before. Various notes and audiologs corroborate that at least Mimics have escaped long ago.
  • Probable bug? We chose to detonate the shuttle, but at the endgame the station still showed the shuttle landed safely and with a countdown timer remaining.
Endgame - Captain's Loft
  • Endgame happens at the Captain's Loft. Depending on your choices you may have more than one path. But you can prepare all paths and come here for the final decision.
  • There are many interactions here depending on who is available to appear. Even interrupting certain dialogues between them or with you can trigger a contingency dialogue to account for your action.
    • Interactions start as soon as you begin going up the stairs. Those early interactions can play out differently if you do NOT go into the Loft and interrupt them. You can cautiously advance up far enough to watch but not interrupt.
