Prey - General Tips

This post is part of our series of tips for Prey by Arkane Studios, available through Epic Games. It's not meant to be a comprehensive walkthrough filled with boring common-sense or easily-discovered points of interest, but things that might be tricky or that are easily overlooked.

We tried not to have too many spoilers, but do be aware of the potential for spoilers.

Overall the best advice we have is to try to keep as many characters you encounter alive as possible. In addition to possibly giving you special loot, they add a lot of richness to the game that you'd otherwise just miss.

• For example, "Will Mitchell": It's possible to kill him (as well as pretty much every other friendly character you meet) very early, but he keeps calling you with interesting / intriguing messages -- even near the very end of the story.
• And if you can get Dayo Igwe and Mikayla Ilyushin in your office, they have interesting conversations together. You can try to trigger more by going out of your office quite a ways and coming back in careful not to walk so close as to interrupt them.
• Sometimes waiting around will let characters say more things, as will talking to them repeatedly until you are no longer provided the prompt to speak with them.
