This is part of our series of beginner tips for Disney Dreamlight Valley. We won't do a hand-holding walkthrough here, but instead consider approaches that might be unusual or overlooked.
Fishing
- If you need Seaweed for Fibre to make Rope or to feed Turtles, don't fish in the bubbling hotspot, but rather in non-hotspots. You can still get fish, but often you get green seaweed.
- Initially fishing looks like a good way to get money, but once you get your Storage boxes up, it's better to start storing them since it's random what you get, and some recipes and friendship gifts require specific fish or seafood.
- Although you will still need to fish for your various achievements, Moana's Boat is really good for a constant supply of fish.
- Great for fish from areas you haven't unlocked; as well as rare fish, instead of trying to get them yourself since they are random drops while fishing.
