Disney Dreamlight Valley - Energy

This is part of our series of beginner tips for Disney Dreamlight Valley. We won't do a hand-holding walkthrough here, but instead consider approaches that might be unusual or overlooked.

Energy

  • Of the various ways to restore Energy quickly, we feel that eating Fruits is overall the most convenient:
    • You don't need to cook them so you can save your Coal for other crafting.
    • They are plentiful and quickly respawn.
    • They are easy to gather in large quantities even without a Forager companion -- just be sure to put them together for convenience.
    • Drawback: Only cooked food will boost your Energy bar to gold, which gives you a movement speed bonus.
    • Dreamight Fruit and Lemon have the highest and second-highest Energy-to-Value ratio. Since the Dreamlight Fruit respawn rate is so slow (1 day), Lemons are best. Also, it is handy to keep a stock of extra Lemons because Large Seafood Platters are one of the easiest and cheapest Five-Star Foods to make (useful for Dreamlight Duties, feeding Ravens, and other tasks).
  • Once you have Chez Remy available, Soufflés are also quite convenient as you can buy stacks of the ingredients (Cheese, Egg, Milk, Butter) at any time, although crafting them can be a chore with the current cooking UI that forces you to make them one at a time.
  • Other ways:
    • You can walk into your house to refill Energy to max. If you are doing something at a particular location, you can relocate your house there for convenience.
      • If you walk in and turn around immediately, you can get stuck if the Character following you is still on the entry pad.
    • You can get free ingredients and food in the Ratatouille Realm. You can't take it with you but you can eat all you want and get your Energy bar to gold for extra running speed.
      • We recommend making Soufflé:
        • Requires only four ingredients (Cheese, Egg, Milk, Butter) from two stalls.
        • At level 40, to fully top up your energy from zero, drink one Milk first then eat two Soufflés.
