Hogwarts Legacy - Floo Flames Potion Exchange

This is one of our series of Hogwarts Legacy tips for beginners.

There are Floo Flame sites with citizens who need potions. These are not marked as "quests" on your but they function like side quests, in that you can only fulfill their request once.

NOTE that none of the citizens appear until after the main story quest "Trials of Merlin".

Each citizen requires a potion, and will give potions in exchange. In the early game when you require various potions for Assignments, this could be a fun way to combine exploration with doing your assignments.

NOTE that if you are carrying the maximum amount of a potion, and the reward tries to give you that potion, you will not receive that reward and you will not even be notified of what you missed. Unfortunately we encountered this situation far too often.

Here are the sites we have found so far:
  • Clagmar Coast > South Clagmar Coast - Cillian Hawksworth
    • Needs Wiggenweld
    • Gives Invisibility, Maxima, Thunderbrew
  • Hogsmeade Valley > East Hogsmeade Valley - Perdita Strix
    • Needs Invisibility
    • Gives Maxima, Thunderbrew, Wiggenweld
  • South Sea Bog > Northern South Sea Bog
    • Wigot Spitchwick needs Maxima
    • Gives Invisibility, Thunderbrew, Wiggenweld
  • North Ford Bog > East North Ford Bog - Effie Bones
    • Needs Thunderbrew
    • Gives Invisibility, Maxima, Wiggenweld
Going on foot all the way to the Clagmar Coast might seem challenging, especially at the Coastal Cavern chokepoint where you have to go through level 20-40 goblins, but even without Disillusionment, you can literally just sprint through. Don't stop to defend with Protego or Dodge -- just keep sprinting and you'll be out of range of the attacks. Keep sprinting until you are through and flag the nearest Floo Flame, North Poidsear Coast.
