Because the 6.1.1. changes to SWTOR's Conquest that have made it too easy to finish on many toons, Tech Fragments are far too easy to get and hence too plentiful.
As a result, it stands to reason that Kai Zykken's canny for commerce should have him adjust prices to get a cut of this new inflation!
Here are our recommendations to up the sleaze and cheese for our favourite vendor:
- The source of all his goods are "second hand". Therefore...
- Gear comes with no mods -- they've been stripped for sale separately.
- He knows he can't compete with the Fleet vendors, so anything they already sell, he undercuts shamelessly by putting them up at half price.
- What they don't sell, he price gouges by selling at double price.
Right now with Tech Fragments so easy to get, all people look to at Kai Zykken's store are what the Fleet vendors don't sell because as a Tech Fragment sink they already buy set items from Fleet instead of waiting for his store to maybe carry the same items.
So there's room for adjustment to account for this play pattern and make an appropriate Tech Fragment sink, especially for gear that is normally locked behind Operations and a lot of low-probability random chance.
